FOTD&OOTD Upload Tour| Casssheww

For those of you who don't know, Upload Tour is a show made up of a couple of Youtubers; Bribry, Pattie Walters, Veeoneeye, Lukeisnotsexy and Gareth Howell. I had the privilege of attending this show and thought I would share my outfit and makeup. I did a video on my Youtube Channel which included a vlog and get ready with me for the day, however, it was very rushed; so I thought what better way would I be able to show my outfit and makeup in more depth than on my beauty blog! My look was quite grunge and more punk than my normal look (I was wearing a choker and necklace before but took them off before taking these images).

Lust for Lush| Cassshew

It is no secret that I have a soft spot for Lush. It is almost impossible for me to enter a Lush store without purchasing something. I've got an endless desire for Lush products, even when I've got a lot in my stash, I still want more. This time I stocked up on Bath Bombs since I always run out of them. I decided to get a few that I hadn't tried out yet, including one of my favourites (Dragons Egg). I also bought a hair mask because my hair has gotten unbelievably damaged. I heard about this mask through Polly Burston's (aka Pollyanneb) Pamper Video where she mentioned that this mask had helped her damaged hair after she had it lightened, which is exactly what I have done. Whilst it does a good job at nourishing your hair, it does have an very herby smell. Whilst it is unpleasant it isn't unbearable, considering all the perks it does for your hair the smell is the least of your worries. I am pretty excited to try out all of these bath bombs. Bath time is by far my favourite and Lush just makes it 600% more enjoyable.

Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Foundation Review| Casssheww

(with flash)

 (without flash)

Have I ever done a foundation review before? I don't think so. I've done two first impressions of foundations on my Youtube channel. I've done reviews on the bareminerals Original Mineral foundation and The Body Shop All in One BB Cream because I find it easier to express how I feel about a foundation on camera and also it is easier to demo the product. I have decided to attempt to review this foundation in more depth in writing. I recently did a video where I used all Maybelline Makeup Products to produce a complete look which you can watch here. Over there I did a short review and also you can see how the product looks on my skin and how it applies in better quality rather than through pictures. This foundation retails at $21 which is a regular price for a drugstore foundation and can be found at most Pricelines, Targets, Kmart and some Coles' (basically anywhere that stocks Maybelline).

I have been loving using small, angled, fluffy brushes to apply my foundation recently and my favourite to use has been my Mac 168 brush which is intended to be used as a highlighter or contour brush (but who really uses their brushes for their intended purposes nowadays anyway?). I find this applies the product really nicely and adds a thin layer of product to give a really natural look. The product claims to be (in Maybellines words): Energising Vitamin Formula with a flawless finish. Evens skin tone instantly better looking skin in 3 weeks with SPF 14 recommended for normal skin.
So far I am not too sure about the product making my skin look better as I haven't had it for 3 weeks yet. I've never tried a foundation that promises to improve the skins quality but I am excited to see if this actually does do any wonders to my skin. The coverage is medium/high and build able. It is quite thin and light on the skin and the finish is a sort of velvety/satin finish. For all you matte lovers out there, this one is for you.

In the pictures above I have not applied primer, concealer or powder as I wanted to concentrate on the quality of the foundation. I have quite terrible skin as I suffer from acne. Right now it is mostly hyper pigmentation and acne scaring that needs to be covered (and also the problem of large pores) and I think the foundation does a wonderful job of covering them up. I like that this foundation has SPF as I have been loving adding SPF into my daily morning routine. The lasting power is quite long, I went out shopping all day with my friends wearing this foundation and it did not budge. As an estimate I would say an 8 hour wear? (please do not take my word for this, I really do not know this is just a rough guess).

Overall, I really like this foundation; it has good coverage, easy to use, lightweight, has SPF, cheap, smells good (very important factor there), matte finish and makes me very happy. I give it a 5/5 (very generous, I know but I can't seem to fault this product!)

What is your favourite foundation? Are you willing to try this one?

Skin Saviour: Origins Clear Improvements Face Mask Review| Casssheww

It’s been a while since I last reviewed a face mask. Over the past couple of years it has been a constant battle with my skin and all my concentration and money has gone towards trying to make my skin be more clear and look better. Recently, I have given up on that. I’ve realised that it will take time for my skin to be the best that it can be and nothing will ever hide the fact that my skin is not perfect. It was my horrible skin that first attracted me to makeup. This year one of my resolutions was to use up all my old products (that are still useable and not out of date) so that I can spend my money elsewhere. One of my favourite (and most expensive) face masks is the Origins Clear Improvements Face Mask Review. I do not remember what it was that got my to buy this in the first place, there was a massive hype about this product a while ago, but what got me to get back into using it was the beautiful and adorable Tanya Burr. She showed this in a haul video and reminded me of how amazing this product was. So here we go. This is my review of the Origins Clear Improvements Face Mask.
To give you a quick overview of my skin, it is normal/combination. I have a lot of acne scaring and hyper pigmentation, and I have giant pores. This mask promises to clear pores and impurities, absorb the toxins in your skin and to make your skin as clear as possible. These are the words of Origins themselves:

When environmental toxins, dirt and debris get under your skin, its waste-filtering system gets jammed, pores get clogged, skin looks cloudy. Nature's complexion clean-up crew gets to the bottom of skins overcast condition and clears the way for it to act its best. Activated Charcoal acts like a magnet to draw out deep-dwelling pore-cloggers, White China Clay absorbs environmental toxins, Lecithin dissolves impurities. Without all that "stuff" down there, skin "breathes a sigh of relief."

I agree with everything they say. I do feel like my skin is getting more clear and is being stripped of all the dirt and yucky stuff (very professional) that may be trapped in your skin from your adventures throughout the day. I feel so much more fresh and cleansed after using this mask. It is also great for spots as after waking up the next morning I can already notice a difference. I have noticed that with this and a few other prescribed products for acne that my skin no longer has a million breakouts that need to be demolished (sounds… violent?). My biggest struggle right now is dealing with hyper pigmentation and acne scaring and I feel like this mask is actually helping to clear that up.

I usually leave it on for about 20 minutes and you feel a sort of tingling sensation (which I love because then I know it's working). The texture is quite thick and gloopy but it goes on nicely on the skin. It is quite difficult to get off but then again so are most clay masks.

Overall, I do feel like it has helped make my skin look more clear and cleansed. I give it a 4/5 (-1 because it is difficult to take off but other than that its great).

What are some of your favourite face masks?

Dear Readers | Casssheww

I know I've been a bit lazy when it comes to blogging... If you are a regular reader of my blog then you know that I have an on-and-off relationship with my blog. Sometimes I find it an enjoyable task but other times I find it such a chore. I converted to Youtube about a year ago and that is where my heart and mind has been, I have achieved many amazing things with my youtube and it is all very exciting to watch. My most recent and amazing achievement is getting accepted into a StyleHaul Partnership, which is something I have wanted since the beginning of my Youtube career. But it didn't seem fair to abandon the first internet blog I owned so here I am, back in the blogging scene. I don't have any set schedule yet, but hopefully I will try to post something at least once a week. You can follow me on my twitter, instagram to keep up with my posts or you can follow me on bloglovin to be notified whenever I post something new. I am really hoping to be more organised with my life, be better at handling stressful situations and make the most out of the rest of the year.

Thank you to the people who have stuck with me from the beginning and to people who have just stumbled across my little corner of the internet, hello! I hope you like what you see and stick around!

Thanks for reading!
Have a good day!
